“City cemetary - better kept than St Louis #1”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Located in the garden district, we toured through here with our Free Tours by Foot group. This cemetary is in better shape than the St Louis #1 (which is only slightly older). The tour gave us a lot of interesting history and knowledge, which helped for viewing St Louis #1 on our own.

“On a city tour”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Excellent place to visit to get history! Got to see this area on a city bus tour! Amazing to hear the significance of the graves and how New Orleans does things so differently than other places with burial. Not morbid at all!

Lots of history, interesting pictures, and free experience. Very easy to get too and after Magazine Street is only a few blocks away for lunch.
