“Afraid of Ghosts?”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Pretty interesting. Some real old people buried there. Even a few Voodoo priestesses. And as usual, whackjobs who write on their graves and ask for Voodoo help. Whatever turns your crank. We took a walking guided tour. Don't do it by yourself. There are guys waitng outside to give a tour for $$. Truth is they aren't official guides and most of what they say is baloney. We listened to one and it was not at all what our guide had said and I believe him more than some guy hanging outside the cemetery trying to hustle you. Is a pretty interesting tour. It lets you see how they treat their dead. Shows a lot about their culture.

“Scary! Don't go at night.”

Like all of New Orleans this place is a must see. Check out the way NO has to bury it's people. This is a great walk from the French Quarter, so bring your walking shoes!

“Don't miss”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

This was part of our city tour and this cemetery is cool. Who knew that hundreds of relatives are in one crypt! Ask your tour guide where the expression "I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole" came from....or ask me as I know now Ever think of flipping tombs like selling real estate? Tat happens too....like I said very informative.

“Haunted Cemetery Tour”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

We met outside the VooDoo Shop in the French Qtr and walked to St Louis Cemetery for a tour with a unique lady, with a unique sense of humor. Unfortunately, I've forgotten her name. What I do remember is that she has been doing the tour for 10 years and once was locked in the cemetery on Memorial Day with her group. A funny story.

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

Wow this place is surreal. It's a very interesting cemetery steeped in history. Great photo opportunities. I highly recommend taking a guided tour. The cemetery is relatively small but holds many secrets that a well versed tour guide can help you unlock!
