Our guide, Renee (SaveOurCemetaries.org) was ridiculously over-dramatic, but the cemetary was great. Wear comfortable shoes, watch your step, and go there!

We walked to this cemetery to see Marie Levaux/s tomb. The cemetery is quite small so it doesn't take long to walk through and is work a look. We learnt a lot from walking through the cemetery.

Our family of four walked the 5 blocks from the french quarter to the cemetery. My husband & I had previously visited the cemetery, so we could act as tour guides for our adult children. Definitely worth the side trip!

I went specifically to see Marie Laveau's site. Pretty cool lore with the stories and myths around her life and in death. Overall the cemetery is OK, took a couple photos of other above ground graves, but was only there 15 minutes.

To save you time to find Marie's grave, if you walk in coming from FQ, turn left immediately, first aisle turn right and it should basically be there on your left, all the Xs on it make it pretty obvious.
