The Sydney & Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden has an enticing & unusual selection of sculptures displayed among trees & shrubs, grassy areas, off the regular paths, over bridges & along waterways.
Works by Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Renoir, Rene Maigritte, & many others are here. I especially enjoyed 3 Figures & 4 Benches by George Segal, Spider by Louise Bourgeois, & Tree of Necklaces by Jean-Michael Othoniel.
The City Park s so huge & has the Art Museum, Botanic Gardens & lots of walks & fountains to enjoy.
Each area deserves its own time.
A great respite from the bustle & hustle of town.

Great for a lazy day of exploration -- especially if you have a bicycle. The park is huge with many separate areas/environments to enjoy. Take a stroll or a bike ride around the park and enjoy nature right in the middle of the city.

New Orleans city park is very large with quite a few attractions and more being added in the future. The NOLA museum is quite impressive and you could spend a couple hours there. If you want a break from the French Quarter or any hustle and bustle in New Orleans, I'd recommend City Park.

Don't pick a hot day to see the whole park. It is beautiful and has so many areas that you will want to take your time and see them all. The trolley will take you to the museum side of the park and from there it is yours to explore.
