Wonderful museum. So many items to look at and read. Enjoyed the day. Get the movie ticket for $7 more if you can. We barely made it through the 2 buildings in one day. Enjoyed the experience.

I’ve been through the museum several times over the years. This visit covered several new section added over the last two years. I’m never disappointed and am always pleased at the sized of the crowds there.

Every living American owes a debt of immeasurable gratitude to the men/women who were the backbone of our industrial and military might that defeated the Axis Powers in WWII. No doubt that many of our grandparents, parent, uncle & aunts were part of this monumental effort. We owe to ourselves and future generations to never forget the sacrifice of millions to preserve world peace and freedom.

Visiting this great NOLA museum is one of many ways to do so. Bring your children/grandchildren.

We used a full day and still did not get completely see everything. Younger children might not enjoy the tour but there are frequent short videos that might keep their attention.
A trip to The WWII Museum is a must.

I thought it would be another 1-2 hour war museum, boy was I wrong! You could spend 2 days here and not see it all. Each section focuses on different parts of the war and there are 6 distinct display areas in 3 buildings. You will view an exclusive Spielberg movie narrated by Tom Hanks and be given an identity of a real soldier (Dog Tags) to follow from enlistment to ultimate destination. If you want to understand the hard times of your parents and grandparents this is a MUST visit.

A state of the art, top notch museum! We spent almost 5 hours there though and could have stayed longer. It’s a lot to take in!

Large museum with well designed displays. Very nicely done with lots of personal stories from the war which gives a feeling for the thoughts of some of those involved. The display are set up so that if you want to breeze through the museum it is easy to catch the highlights but if you want to linger in a display there is lots of detail to be had. It does present the war from a mainly U.S. perspective so significant contributions by the allies that were key to winning the war, such as certain British campaigns, or the role the Eastern Front played in decimating the German army, are covered either minimally or not at all. Still worth a visit though.

Be prepared to spend at least 2 hours there. I think everyone is surprised that the museum is in New Orleans. But if you are in the city for more than 2 days, do go.

What more can be written? One of the best attractions in the world. Not a museum in the traditional sense, but more of an interactive presentation of artifacts and media displays. Satisfies novices and historians alike. Can get crowded, so aim for a slow day if possible.
