Owner description: New Orleans' Preservation Hall was established in 1961 to honor one of America's truest art forms - Traditional New Orleans Jazz. Operating as a music venue, a touring band, and a non-profit organization, Preservation Hall continues its mission today as a cornerstone of New Orleans music and culture. Situated in the heart of the French Quarter on St. Peter Street, the Preservation Hall venue presents intimate, acoustic New Orleans Jazz concerts over 350 nights a year featuring ensembles from a current collective of 100+ local master practitioners. On any given night, audiences bear joyful witness to the evolution of this venerable and living tradition.

“Fabulous concert and a great venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2014

It's a great concert and a great venue but book the VIP tickets online ahead of time to make sure you get a seat. Also, it's crazy hot so bring something like a fan and a bottle of water. Also, there are no washrooms so make sure you go ahead of time. The concert is only 45 minutes long but it's excellent and well worth the time and the money.

Was in NOLA on business and knew Preservation Hall was on the top of my list. I went down by myself and enjoyed every minute! It was the highlight of my trip! Be sure to go if in NOLA!

“Good jazz”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2014 via mobile

Good jazz but be warned that the place is small and easily crowded. It's a little bit pricey for only 45 minutes of jazz for $15 standing up. But you get to hear some really good jazz.

“Highlight Of Our Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2014

We were fortunate to get tickets for the Preservation Hall Band. Outstanding music in an original American landmark. This is a no frills spot - no drinks, no A/C, limited seating but GREAT music. If you like jazz do not miss this gem.

“true jazz experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2014

No air conditioning, little space, no bathrooms but GREAT LIVE MUSIC. Yes, you do need to stand in line but it is worth it. If you are in New Orleans – do it. This is the place for live music. Kids are also welcome, and you can carry in your own drink (try Pat O’Brien next door for the best hurricane in town).
