Owner description: Ride with us at Confederacy of Cruisers, New Orleans original and oldest bike tour company. Going on 10 years of great tours and great customers keeping us feeling like the luckiest folks in New Orleans every day when we come to work. The tour that started them all and our others, the Culinary, the History of Drinking and our combined Pedal to Paddle with our friends at Kayakityat. New Orleans is so more than the French Quarter and we want to show you what most visitors don't get to experience. The heart of our city is seen through its other historic neighborhoods on the Creole side of Town, the beautiful Faubourg Marignyand Bywater; and there is no better way to explore them than with New Orleans' original bicycle tour company. Join us as we take you for a bike ride around the old streets and tell you the stories of the New Orleans that most tourists miss. The ride is relaxed, with plenty of time to ask questions, and a stop along the way at a neighborhood bar where you can find out all you want about local life while drinking a delicious Bloody Mary, if you like (water or nothing are also fine choices). For those who want to delve a little deeper, we offer a tasty Neighborhood Culinary Tour and a Historic Drinking Tour (where you get to indulge as you learn), all travelling through our our city like the locals do, on easy to ride classic cruiser bicycles. One speed, slow.

It's no wonder why everyone raves about this tour. Bike tours are always a great way to see things in a new city that you probably won't see on your own, or even in a bus/van.

Jeff, an owner of the company, was our guide for our Christmas Day tour. The weather was rainy and they had sent us a text message in the morning about waiting to hear the weather report to see if we should go out. The weather report came back with no rain, but of course, it was wrong and it rained on and off. That didn't really put any damper on the tour, because through most of the 3-4 hours we were out, it was just misty.

We rode through a few local neighborhoods outside of the french quarter and saw the real New Orleans through a native, who told us stories and answered all questions that we had. Jeff was able to offer all kinds of recommendations for restaurants, etc. and we took advantage of his knowledge.

I am hoping to do another tour with them when we get back down there...in better weather, of course!

I can't say enough about what a good time we had. Our tour guide-and I can't recall his name-was terrific. He was extremely knowledgeable as well as a NOLA native. While he easily shared the history of Treme, Faubourg Marigny, St Rocco's Cemetery just to name a few, he also shared stories of growing up and living in New Orleans. It was a kick to ride into neighborhoods we might not have wandered in on our own. As a result of this tour we rented bikes on our own the next day and did our own exploring. Would do this again and again.

So happy we did this tour. I was hoping to do the culinary tour but that tour guide was on vacation. Wound up doing the creole tour and it was great! Our tour guide was an awesome local who full of knowledge about new Orleans, it's history and its neighborhoods. Gave interesting insights that the history books won't tell you. There were 3 other couples on the tour and we all enjoyed ourselves. And the stop at the very local bar was a great addition to the tour. A definite must for when your are visiting new orleans.

We were pleasantly surprised with this lovely tour. It is an easy ride and very informative. If you are into the history of the area, this is absolutely the best as far as where you go and what you see. Our guide was also the owner and chief operator and he had so much information to deliver he would almost get breathless in his delivery. We loved every moment of this tour, would absolutely do it again, and highly recommend it to everybody who wants to get a real flavour for the neighborhoods surround the famous French Quarter.

Easy biking with lots of background and history of the French in New Orleans. Do it early in your stay--the information puts the rest of your sightseeing in context. Our guide gave us great recommendations on bands and restaurants as well.
