“as good as everyone says”

Just to walk around it for a few hours is worth it. Amazing homes and streets, great gardens, and a lot of small, local, and affordable restaurants and stores.

“Beautiful Historic Homes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

Thank goodness the beautiful old homes weren't lost in the recent hurricanes! This is a lovely walking-tour area, but can be enjoyed from your vehicle, if you don't have time to take a leisurely walk. There is also a lovely paper-back photo book of this area that is available in the hotel gift shops.

“Walking tour/garden district”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

Went on the walking tour of the garden district. Takes 2 hours with one 10 minute bathroom break. Bring a bottle of water and good walking shoes. The tour guide was great. If you find a coupon you can get a few dollars off. The homes are breath taking and you get a lot of background and history.

“Beautiful part of New Oreleans.”

So different than the French Quarter. Lovely homes and places to see. Don't miss it while in New Orleans.
