“The best!”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

The best time to go is Thursday night when the crowd is smaller. Enjoy some of the drinks New Orleans is famous for. My wife likes to people watch on Bourbon Street and I prefer to take in the atmosphere at the bar. Old Absinthe allows us to do both.

“Love the atmosphere!”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

I didn't feel this was a typical Bourbon Street bar. The atmosphere was very laid back and fun. I could imagine hanging out here and watching a game or two with friends. The bartenders were awesome! And friendly, unlike the one's down the street at another bar we went into. Will be back!

“Didn't really want to be there”
Reviewed July 1, 2012

Didn't want to be in NOLA, didn't want to be on Bourban street. Was done there for work and was drug in that direction.

Walked to the other side of the street to avoid an ugly black tranny, saw what looked to be a bar that didn't have a crappy band playing or tourists, well what looked like tourists.

Had a beer, waited for group to walk to the other end of Bourban and back before we went to dinner.

It was a nice break.
