“So Much To See in This Square.”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

The Park is a good place to rest in shade, view the statue of Andrew Jackson hero of the Battle of New Orleans & view the huge St Louis Cathedral flanked either side by the grand Spanish Louisiana State Museum. Then wander out to see & explore the shops in the Antebellum row homes & the artists selling their art works & entertainers in the square. Brass bands, Voodoo & Fortune Tellers, a dog that collects $1 notes under his collar for his master...always surprises here.

“Much to learn about local history”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

First, it is a nice square to visit. Second, it has a rich local history that is as relevant today as it was in the past. Third, it is just next to the Mississippi, you can climb the levee, and walk along it to watch boat traffic on the river. A very nice place to visit for a couple of hours.

I really liked going to Jackson Square with all the restaurants and shops. I also liked that it was close to places of entertainment.

Lovely place to walk about & take photos. I especially enjoyed listening to the musicians despite the heat.
