Owner description: Tours are offered of these historic French Quarter homes, allegedly inhabited by the famed ghosts of New Orleans.

We had a great time with George our tour guide. He was very personable and knowledgeable about all the areas of the French Quarter. He was very honest about some of the "B.S" stories you hear about the Quarter from other sources. I was happy we did this tour as opposed to some of the other "more popular" tours which had dozens of people flocking around one costumed and dramatic tour guide. If you are looking for real history along with your ghost stories, choose this tour!

Although there are many options of ghost tours we took the Grayline Ghost & Spirit Walking Tour. This is a 2 hour walking tour that leaves at 7 p.m. Our guide George was very knowledgable about the city and its history. We were looking for a tour that wasn't cheesy with actors dressing up and trying to scare people. We wanted it to be informative, accurate and professional. And that is what we got. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. And if you are a paranormal or history buff even better.

The only suggestion I would have is to be able to sit down more often. This is a tour where you are walking and standing for the whole 2 hours. There is a bathroom break given at a bar halfway through the tour and you can get a drink as well. Unfortunately, as there were some disabled people in our group they ended up dropping off after about an hour.

Aside from that, I loved it and would recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans.

I searched for Ghost Tours online and booked this tour through Big Easy Tours initially, so I was a little confused that Gray Line ended up conducting it in the end.

Needless to to say we had a wonderful time. Lori was our tour guide and did a fantastic job of "toning" down things to a PG level for our six year old. We learned and saw some interesting facts and places in the French Quarter. Lori was very detailed and knew her stuff.

My family took The New Orleans Ghost Tour and The New Orleans Cemetery History Tour - both offered by The New Orleans Ghost Tour Company - both of these tours were a lot of fun - our guide's were very entertaining and well versed of thier subjects. These are "theatrical" walking tours given in the French Quarter. On the ghost tour our guide was April - she was dressed in old quarter gothic style and interacted with her audience with an easy flow - all of the stories she told were entertaining and historically accurate - I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in New Orleans darker side - minus the "halloween effects".
We also took the New Orleans Cemetery History tour with the same company ( we loved the ghost tour so much we wanted to do another one of this companys tours) .Our guide on this tour was a huge gentleman named Scott. Scott entertained and informed us with French Quarter history on the walk to St Louis #1 - the oldest active cemetery in the city - once at the cemetery his knowledge of its history and bizarre stories was obvious. Oh yeah and the cemetery tour came with a free breakfast of eggs benedict and a mimosa. Very Good deal.
