Owner description: Located in historic Uptown New Orleans Audubon Zoo offers an exotic mix of animals from around the globe, engaging educational programs, hands-on animal encounters and lush gardens. Unique natural habitat exhibits—such as the award-winning Louisiana Swamp and Jaguar Jungle—showcase the relationship between people and nature. Don't miss the daily animal presentations, chats and feeds; our highly endangered whooping cranes, Amur leopards and orangutans; our white tiger; and our mysterious white alligators. Audubon Zoo is often ranked among the country’s best for innovation and entertainment value!

Zoo price is a little pricey, Maps are a litte confusing of where you catch the trains etc. but the old oak trees are great. the primate area is nice, animals seem well taken care of. Could use more benches on the paths for handicapped, and expecting moms.

We got to the zoo quite late in the afternoon but had an amazing time looking at all the exhibits. Loved the Louisiana swamps area!

In the middle of the summer we chose to walk in the extreme heat and humidity to enjoy this treasure. When it drizzled there was steam coming off the ground! They do have a water park for kids which is an extra cost that I would have explored if I had my son with me.
My favorite part was the orangatngs playing in these barrel tubsl
The mother went to help her child but he just wanted to play and entertain the visitors! Beautiful flamingos. A very large array of animals. Well maintained.
The food is expensive, eat before you come.
