Description: We would like to invite you to the only German restaurant New Orleans has to offer. Our specialty is authentic home-style Bavarian and Bohemian cuisine. In addition, JägerHaus is also the only full service Lavazza coffee shop in New Orleans. When you visit our cozy German bistro in New Orleans, you will feel like you just stepped in to a nice little restaurant off the square somewhere in the middle of Munich or Prague.

They have a really good selection of interesting German things for breakfast - not just sausages. The traditional German pizza type things for breakfast are really good, as are the spatzle. it is a nice little place. the dinner food looks good also, but I have only eaten breakfast there - several.

And for what it is worth, Germans settled lots of places around New Orleans long ago, for example, nearby Des Allmands. Rumor has it that lots of the German (Prussian) mercenaries who fought for the British in the Battle of New Orleans in 1815 stayed after the Battle. Who knows? That might be true.

The potato pancakes here are delicious. The beer selection is reasonably priced as are the other menu options. Our food was served by the proprietor which was also a nice touch

The food was good, but small seating area. Had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated, but worth the wait. The service was good and the beer was cold.

Service was severely lacking. Server chose to wait on persons who came in after us before even acknowledging our presence. Server was a little snarky.

Once we got it, the food was good.

Needed a little variety during our stay. Fantastic pork chops, great service and easy access. Highly recommend.
