Description: We would like to invite you to the only German restaurant New Orleans has to offer. Our specialty is authentic home-style Bavarian and Bohemian cuisine. In addition, JägerHaus is also the only full service Lavazza coffee shop in New Orleans. When you visit our cozy German bistro in New Orleans, you will feel like you just stepped in to a nice little restaurant off the square somewhere in the middle of Munich or Prague.

Was looking for a nice breakfast place and we stumbled on Jagerhaus. Crepes and speciality german flatbreads were wonderful! Their applewood bacon bloody mary was the best I have had. We ate here twice. The 1st morning service was exceptional, 2nd morning not so good but the food was still great.

I stayed in the Prince Conti across the street from Jagerhaus. We tried coffee (excellent Italian coffee) and had dinner there one night. I was pleasantly surprised that the German meatloaf was so delicious. My husband was also happy with the schnitzel sandwich he ate. But the item that stood out for both of us was the DELICIOUS red cabbage. I will go back!

This is a German restraunt with excellent service and great food, had such a great meal the first day went back on the second day. The only negative comment I have is that during Mardi Gras they atomaticaly added 20% gratuity to your bill.

We have been meaning to try this restaurant for awhile, and finally found ourselves downtown and looking for a spot to grab dinner before meeting up with friends. We quickly decided to head over here. The server was quite pleasant, and got us a table right away, even though it was a little crowded. He was happy to provide beer suggestions, and even brought us a sample of a warm German wine cocktail while we decided. The beer selection is fairly good, as most of the beers are not generally available in New Orleans. The food that arrived was very authentic, and we were informed the chef is Czech, and it showed a strong cultural influence in the cooking. The food was a little pricey, but it is the only place in New Orleans to get authentic German food, so it was ultimately worth the cost.
