Decided to try something new on Mothers Day so we googled flatbread pizza in Madison and it listed Pizza Brutta. Lovely little spot on Monroe Street. As soon as you enter there is a large black board on your right that lists the source for most of the ingredients used in this restaurant. Ordered two side salads (one greek and one original) and both came quickly. We were surprised at the size of the salads. The organic lettuce was crisp and delicious while the dressings (balsamic and olive oil for me and a vinaigrette for my spouse). It was accompanied by bread that was delicious and with a crisp crust. The pizza arrived before we had finished our salads and looked delicious. The only downside to the wood fired pizza was that the crust had some spots that were just too well done. That is the only downside and reason for a very good ranking rather than excellent. We will definitely return and take friends.

Simple, local ingredients.... Just enough.... Cooked in a beautiful wood fired brick oven. Started with a fresh salad perfectly adorned. Had 2 pies - - the salami and mushroom; and the prosciutto and arugula. Staff at the counter was very helpful and efficient.

Loved learning about the oven and how the wood-fired pizza is made. We stopped here on the Monroe Street Walking Food Tour with Madison Food Explorers and had several pieces of the Margherita pizza -- Excellent! Highly recommend this little gem.

You cannot get fresher ingredients or a better tasting pizza in Madison. Simple atmosphere. The smells alone will mesmorize you. Located on Monroe Street, it's a perfect break from supporting the local shops.
