We went to Dotty's with friends. Each person ordered a different burger and each one was perfectly cooked. Some of the burgers ordered were a bit sloppy to eat due to their toppings and preferred done-ness. We ordered cheese curds, french fries, and sweet potato fries. My only gripe was the amount of sweet potato fries vs french fries was very different. We walked away wanting more sweet potato fries. They didn't have lemon rum, which was disappointing and surprising. Otherwise, the burgers they are known for are very good.

Love the burgers here. I've tried the vegetarian burger, melting pot, and even their beer battered fished burger. All have been superb and cooked perfectly. There is always a line when a game is going on but they are quick to turn over. Love this place!

While in town for a wedding, I was looking to get lunch somewhere that felt like classic Wisconsin, so I'm glad I chose Dotty Dumpling's Dowry. Started with the cheese curds which were great and the Melting Pot Burger (loaded with cheese plus bacon and garlic sauce) and washed it down with an icy cold New Glarus beer. All delicious, plus $7-8 burger is a great deal, considering most comparable places these days tend to charge $10-12. Location's great as well, not far from State Street

The last time I'd been to DDD was in the early '80s while an undergrad at Madison. At that time it was a small, cozy place on Regent street. Even though they have moved to pricier digs and classed up the joint, the food is as good as ever. Fried cheese curds are delightful, and the burger was cooked to perfection with fresh and interesting toppings.

The burger selection was excellent. They offer interesting toppings. I had a basil pesto buffalo burger. It is served in a basket - you have to order sides such as fries or onion rings separately. I would recommend this place to anyone after a burger.
