“Awesome food!”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

My husband and I went here because we had heard it was good and wanted to try it. We loved the food and atmosphere. They have small plate and were able to enjoy three or four of them, which we like to share so that worked out great. Would highly recommend it!

“Great Find”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

It is always difficult to live up to high expectations, and once James Beard mentions your name, those expectations rise through the roof. Yet Pig exceeded those expectations for me. Visiting with a group of six, we were able to try many interesting dishes, and each was more impressive than the last. If something sounds good, TRY IT! None of the dishes are too expensive, and we left quite full. And definitely save room for dessert!

“Awesome Name with Excellent Food”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

If you watch Top Chef, you see all these types off delicacies that you can't find just anywhere. Well, here they have a nice selection of them - pork belly, rabbit pate, octopus and sweet breads. All are in small plates, so order many and share. A nice even out with friends and great foods.

“Madison Star”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

Diverse, creative, beautiful, delicious food with excellent service. Protein overload. A high point of Madison visit. Surprisingly inexpensive. We took 10 people here for dinner, no reservation (they don't accept them), the group was handled efficiently and generously, and a huge dinner including wine only ended up costing about $55 per person. Not to be missed.

“A Madison Must-Try the Ravioli”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Four of us shared two dishes each from the snacks, small plates, large plates & desserts. Everything was delicious and the service was great!!!

From the snack plates we had the Rabbit Rillette (with duck fat)-Pistachio and pickled cherries ($10) was rich and delicious, as was the Poutine-foie gras, cheese curds & poutine sauce ($12).

From small plates the Ravioli-duck egg, bacon, ricotta, brussels sprouts & brown butter ($11) is an absolute must get and the table favorite. The Torchon-bombolini, guanciale & fig ($12) was also a melt in your mouth dish.

From large plates the Quail-chorizo, couscous, pickled carrots, mushroom spinach & feta ($21) was very flavorful as well as the Scallops-sweet potato, pork bell, apple butter & vanilla ($24).

My favorite dessert dish was 5 large doughnuts filled with ricotta and covered in a rich thick chocolate sauce.
