“Good but expensive breakfast”
Reviewed March 6, 2012

Stopped here for breakfast on my way to work. I had passed this place several times and wondered what it was like. It's located in the Wisconsin Aviation building off of Highway 51 and is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. I had the "Ultralight" which is two buttermilk pancakes and a choice of bacon, sausage or ham. I ordered the ham. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and filled the plate. The ham was a piece of ham steak fried on the grill and it was good. The pancake syrup was the typical maple flavored syrup found at most places. Along with an orange juice, the breakfast was $9.91 with tax. The service was fast and friendly and place appeared to be very clean.

“Small but nice place to watch plane and have a nice meal!”
Reviewed February 24, 2012

I have stopped here several times, and had breakfast and lunch items. It always seems that the staff is working very hard to provide excellent service. The food is consistently very good. Perhaps the owners spend a bit too much time chatting when they could give waitresses a hand when the place is hopping, but overall nice experience.

“Go for the food, stay for the view...check it out.”
Reviewed January 29, 2012

This is a small/medium sized restaurant, located inside Wisconsin Aviation. I've been here three times. Two of them in the past two weeks. The food is solid. Good burgers and patty melts. They all come with fries, chips or "hot chips"- fresh fried potato chips. They only stay open til 2pm. Breakfast is served all day and, although I've never had it there, it looks pretty good.
The reason to go there is the cool view. One wall is all glass and overlooks the airport. You can see the small planes coming and going. On my last two visits I was there with a former pilot and a friend whos dad used to have a plane. They both got a huge kick out of the place and both said they wanted to return again.
Just go and enjoy the place. It's fun!
Also, it's clean and the service is good.

“Expensive, Good Food, POOR Service”
Reviewed October 27, 2011

We live in Madison, we like to go out to breakfast, our son LOVES airplanes. The food at the Jet Room (only open for b-fast and lunch) is good....but expensive. Big fresh eggs, homemade toast. HOWEVER, the service is aways POOR! The owner is very nice and owned a place in Waunakee that had good food, but, when he or she are not at the Jet Room the waitresses sit around, talk, grump, do not much of anything. Children are not much welcomed although my kids LOVE the planes! All in all, the regular wait staff NEEDS to be replaced.... BADLEY.... it is fun to watch the planes come in, however, when you have POOR service, and expensive food, it is not worth it!

“Good food, decent prices, with a free airshow every day.”
Reviewed August 4, 2011

This restaurant sits in the General Aviation terminal at MSN, overlooking the ramp and runways. You never know what you'll see, but it's fun to have a meal and watch the fighters and other aircraft take off. This is also a great place to be before and after the annual EAA Oshkosh fly-in, as so many aircraft stop here for fuel.
