“Disappointed in the pulled pork”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

We hadn't been to Brickhouse for quite awhile and we were really looking forward to the pulled pork that we remembered from that previous visit. We were so disappointed in what we were served today. Instead of the tender, melt-in-our-mouths shredded meat we remembered, this meat arrived in uneven slices that had been hacked into chunks. The taste was okay, but the texture did not match any pulled pork we've ever had. This was more like rare to medium roast beef. We mentioned this to our server, who mumbled something about how 'they' were trying something else, today was the first day, they were trying to take less time, and he would give them our feedback. The cheddar grits and cornbread were almost as good as we remembered, but the green beans were overcooked and quite chewy. We don't plan to return.

“BBQ in Wisconsin”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

We had just come off a trip to Texas, and even though this wasn't quite "Texas" bbq, it was pretty good, and satisfied our craving for decent bbq. A nice clean restaurant that can hold over 290 people, it was definitely a pleasant lunch. Worth visiting.

“Smells delicious, not so tasty”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

I've been here 4 or 5 different times. Everytime the food is just okay, the BBQ sauces that they have aren't my favorite. The pulled pork isn't cooked in the sauce, they just give you a platter with a few different types of sauce, and you add it on top. This makes the meat not that flavorful and even when you add the BBQ sauce, its not very good.

“Great twist on traditional BBQ!”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

Everything here is fantastic, and I always end up with plenty to take home. I like that their side-dishes are all a small twist on regular sides (so, chipotle sweet potato salad and spicy green beans) I just wish they'd bring more sauce, we always have to ask MULTIPLE times for more of their tiny sauce dishes!!

“Excellent food, beautiful server”
Reviewed February 5, 2013 via mobile

Back in Madison, Wisconsin for another two weeks. This is 2nd visit on this trip. Ordered the mouthwatering brisket and a double side of their one-of-a-kind Mac & cheese. Washed it all down with a draft Spotted Cow beer.

As if the food wasn't enough, we were served by the stunningly beautiful Elizabeth who sported a great sense of humor. Even asked this 46 yr old grey hair guy if she needed to check my ID - made my night with a good chuckle! The college guys must stop by just to see her. You can't go wrong with a visit to the Brickhouse for a great time and great food.
