Wonderful staff who are helpful and friendly. This is a newer hotel kept very clean. Extremely affordable rates and includes a fun pool/whirlpool and game room for the kids. It was a pleasure to stay here! Great breakfast to get us on our way also. Would HIGHLY recommend!!

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend biking getaway in Madison. We were very pleased with everything - the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff, the breakfast, and the fact that you're in a quiet and relatively secluded location (as some of the other reviewers note, this place could be tricky to find without a GPS). And, the walk-in shower was the best one I've ever had in a hotel!

We also found that it was easy to bike from the hotel into downtown Madison. There is a little bike trail that takes you from the hotel's road to Broadway, which heads west into town. After navigating the rather busy intersection at Broadway and Stoughton road, the rest of the ride was very nice.

Will definitely be returning here when we visit Madison.

We stayed here in May on the way to Minneapolis and we had our dog with us. We had to call them to figure out how to get to the hotel, as others have mentioned, it is off the beaten path a bit. Our room was very nice, very comfortable bed, nice furnishings. The bathroom was clean and modern. This hotel is surrounded by fields so we were able to let our dog run herself ragged chasing her Chuck-It ball. The hotel was very quiet, even though it was pretty full. We did not use the pool or exercise facilities. After driving all day, we were tired and just wanted a nice dinner and a good night's sleep.

The breakfast was blah. We have been traveling off and on for about a month, and we are very tired of Belgian waffles. The juices were watered down but the coffee was good!

One nice plus, we were not charged a fee for our dog. The nightly room charge was very reasonable.

We stayed here for two nights Memorial Day weekend for the Madison Half Marathon. The property is immaculately maintained and very clean. Our room was well appointed with a flat-panel TV, microwave, and refrigerator and had a huge bathroom with a granite countertop sink and large shower. Good free breakfast with hot items, exercise room, game room, and fun-looking pool with basketball hoops and tumble buckets. And - perhaps best of all - pet-friendly! Only $5 a night for our Scottie to stay with us. We will definitely be back!

It is easy to miss the sign. We don't have a GPS or navigation device, so we drove around a large circle, ending up where we started, but then spotted the small sign the second time around. If it had been dark, we probably never would have seen the sign. Once we found it, it was worth finding. Good, clean room. Convenient to the beltway to get into Madison. Staff helped us find the type of restaurant we were looking for. Decent breakfast. Comfortable room. A good night's sleep on the road.

The beds at the Sleep Inn and Suites were comfy, the room was clean and the decor attractive. The rate for our room was also reasonable. Our room did not have the walk in shower that I read about in the other reviews; it was the usual bathtub/ shower with a shower curtain. It was not a suite, just a regular room with two queen beds. We did have a microwave, small fridge and a flat screen TV. I called the hotel to ask about the pet policy because someone in our group has allergies. I was told that the pets are allowed in the rooms on the first floor, so we requested and got a room on a higher floor. We did use the pool and hot tub. Very nice pool area, but the water was pretty cold. The hot tub water, though, was quite hot. They did have towels at the pool area. The child traveling with us enjoyed the basketball hoops and the bucket that dumped water at the pool. There is a sign for the hotel at the frontage road that is easy to see and that helped us find the hotel - we also had a GPS. Breakfast was OK; not as extensive as some hotels but they had coffee, juice, bagels, toast, peanut butter, make your own waffles, muffins, donuts, two kinds of cereal plus instant oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, apples and bananas. So really, I think most people could find something to eat and they did a good job of replenishing the items. During our stay we did not have issues with any noise and we slept well. The staff was friendly. We would happily stay at the Sleep Inn again the next time we are in Madison.

Room Tip: We requested an East facing room on a higher floor and that worked out well for us.

Have stayed at this hotel several times in last month and woke up to barking dog each time at 1:00AM. I know people like to bring pets on vacation etc., but it is pretty annoying to have barking dog inside hotel when you are trying to sleep. All other aspects of this hotel are great, very clean, good enough breakfast, friendly staff, but barking dogs each time make me have to give lower rating.
