“Hotel was ok. Falls short of being a really nice hotel.”

Overall, the hotel was acceptable but not nice. We had an outside room and so did not have any issues with the pool. The furnishings were dated and worn. The carpeting was industrial grade and tired looking. The tv was an old console style. The room was very large and clean, but the hot/cold on the sink was backwards,

The breakfast buffet was nice with waffles and gravy and biscuits. The staff was friendly.

Not a bad hotel for the price.

Place is dirty. The pillows are not even normal size pillows but the size of throw pillows. The bathroom was dirty, dead bug on floor. Hair on toilet. Holes, yes holes in the tub. Shower head falling off and a very large bug crawling around that scared the crap out of all of us. We have done a cross country trip and been on the road two weeks now and this was the most expensive hotel we've stayed in yet the most absolutely disgusting hotel I've seen!!! I haven't written a review ever on a hotel but this place was awful.

There are real problems with Baymont, mostly centered around the structure of the building. An indoor pool creates a humidity that overwhelms the entire experience. It feels like a jungle and smells like chlorine. There is only one elevator to serve even the farthest rooms on the 3rd floor, so it is a trek with luggage. Luckily, our room was at the rear through an odd rear glass door that luckily threw us beyond the oppressive humidity and noise of the center staged indoor pool. The pool may be a plus for families who want to keep an eye on their kids, but there is no escaping the damp and the chemical odor. Frankly, after leaving Houston’s humidity, the last thing I wanted was the swamp the Baymont created just past the receptionist desk.
Positioned most closely to the Mesa Verde park entrance is an advantage, but not its greatest: the wait staff are extraordinarily solicitous. We wanted to put our bikes in a secure place while we went to see the Cliffdwellings, but our check out time made that a problem. They kept our bikes in their housekeeping area until we returned at 1, long after their obligation. There is also a nice complementary breakfast that includes make it yourself Belgian waffles and an outdoor deck where you can eat.
But honestly, the effect of the pool left me wondering why I hadn’t book the Turquoise motel down the street with its simple unencumbered old-fashioned design.

Room Tip: Stay far from the hotel, preferably with a beyond the glass entrance

Warm cookies each night. VERY comfortable king bed. Bathroom needed more cleaning but was otherwise a very pleasant stay. Within 10 minutes of the entrance to Mesa Verde. Will be returning!

Good location and rooms were fine. But there are signs of wear and upkeep needed. None of the vending machines worked and the pool was cloudy. Desk personnel were very nice and helpful. Free Internet is a plus.

Stayed here for one night on our way to Santa Fe. The girl at the front desk was so nice and accomadating. She asked about our preference of rooms, I said a quiet one would be great and that we needed a fridge. She put us in a very quiet room and told us that if there wasn't a fridge in there, she would find one for me. The room was big and very clean. The breakfast wasn't great, but I don't care too much about that. Unfortunately, we are staying next door right now on our way home. I had a non-refundable room and couldn't change it. We will be staying here next year. Thanks!!

Stay here only if all other motels are full. We were on 10 day trip in Colorado and Utah. Baymont was the most expensive and worst place we stayed. Others we stayed at Double Tree, Best Western and lodge in Snowmass CO. The electrical plug was coming out of the wall the A/C was falling out of the frame and daylight was coming in.. After pointing this out to the manager we got a $25.00 adjustment. for 2 days. Big Deal!!!!The furnishings were out dated and carpet marginally clean. Can't believe anyone could rate this place any better than average minus.

Room Tip: don't stay here.
