“Delicious Lunch”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

While I can't judge a restaurant on the basis of just one meal (and basically, one dish), The Farm Bistro couldn't have done much better in my one try. As others have noted, it's a lunch-only restaurant. It has a diverse and interesting menu of soups, salads, and sandwiches; supplemented by daily specials. I had the special soup: lamb and bean. It was delicious; loaded with lamb and a variety of beans, with carrots, potatoes, and whole cloves of garlic in a tasty, lamby, broth. It needed just a bit more salt to be perfect. The soup was served with a choice of gluten-free corn muffin or made in-house focaccia bread. I chose the latter and it was moist, chewy, and tasty. My server screwed up and also gave me a corn muffin. Don't bother unless you're allergic to gluten. It was very dry, somewhat sweet, very crumbly. Service was friendly and helpful, especially for a first-time diner. I hope I have opportunities to try more of the menu.

“Only a lunch place, and farmers' market”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

Based on prior ratings and the name of the place, we had hoped to eat dinner here the night we arrived. Not possible. We did have a good, if slightly pricey lunch here.

Just had lunch here recently and was very pleased with the entire experience! Friendly, homey atmosphere. I had their "Farm" salad and everything was so fresh and absolutely delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice lunch.

“Healthier alternative”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

Took the family here on our way to Durango to experience locally grown food. Sandwiches and burgers, salads, etc.. Portions were not huge, but the idea is to eat healthier anyway. Add-on's can up the bill, e.g. cheese, guacamole, etc.. Pick your own table, walk up and order, so this saves on tip costs.
