“Attentive baristas and great espresso.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2014

With few cafe options in Cortez we were happy to find this bright and easy going cafe. We are fussy about our coffee and were not disappointed. We were one of the first in but by the time we left the place was filling up with many regulars as well as visitors. The kitchen made a nice breakfast burrito for my husband and although there was no fruit plate on the menu, when I asked about some the server was very accommodating, going out of his way to put together berries and yogurt. the espresso was smooth and they made it just the way I like. We were very happy with our experience there and only wish it had been open on the Sunday we were there as well but we were early in the season.

“Latte on Sunday!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2013

Great little place. It was great to have a place to go with an experienced barista and a friendly attitude. The seating area in the back is a great outdoor area, quaint. It's one of the only places to stop for coffee for miles! Give it a try!

“Sweet, fun cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013 via mobile

The gals behind the counter were smiling, friendly, and seemed to be having a good time. The decaf iced mocha had an anise flavor that I didn't care for, but otherwise was good. The bagel breakfast sandwich and scone were yummy. The house has brightly colored rooms. I can't put my finger on it, but it felt a bit sparse. All in all, it was a nice experience.

Staff was not sure how to get to Hovenweep but could make a good cup if jo. Place is being renovated and they are trying hard to make this place go.

“Great coffee, fun atmosphere”

This place makes you want to curl up with a good cuppa and just relax, read, use the wifi. A great place to spend a spare few minutes or hours enjoying.
