“At a Second Glance”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 21, 2012

My second trip to Spruce Tree was less appealing than the first. I was excited to introduce a friend of mine to this coffee shop, since I had enjoyed it so well the first time. The overall, atmosphere of the shop, was less than maintained. The coffee tasted like it had been brewed in Alabama (you know, the kind of coffee you can see through...weak!) The barista on the other side of the counter was definitely friendly enough, but obviously knows nothing about making coffee or pouring a decent shot of espresso. It seemed to me as though, it may have been the owner's wife, who is eager to help, but knows little to nothing about what a decent cup of coffee should be. The man who was working the first time round was very knowledgeable about the roastery, the coffee, and definitely how to make a good coffee. It just goes to show, folks, that your coffee shop will build a reputation based on whether or not your barista knows the difference between an americano and cup of brew. Don't let your mom work behind the counter unless she knows her business.

Very nice coffee shop! Good coffee and drinks. Great bagel sandwiches! Nice place to hang out and good wifi. Gets pretty crowded at times. Worth a little wait.

“Nothing else for miles”

The coffeehouse at spruce tree is fine for a quick bite. I was not impressed with the Indian Flatbread taco....boring.

“The best coffee of our trip.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2012

Lovely place and the owner is super nice. Cozy micro lounges in which you can sit in and sip leisurely your gourmet coffee. Great Americano. Professional coffee machine, as Italians we appreciated it. And don't forget the breakfast burritos, good and tasty choice.

“Cool little place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2012

On our return home from a motorcycling trip through Colorado, we happened upon this place. It was once a cute little home that has been turned into a coffee shop. They offer a full line of coffees, cold drinks, bagels, etc. and have little sitting areas throughout the house. It's a very friendly, clean place with wonderful atmosphere and a pleasant surprise to find in a town where we had never been before.
