“A Must Stop in Cortez”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

We stayed at a local chain hotel which included a horrible breakfast, so decided to stop here because of the listing on Trip Advisor....Well worth the stop. This is a fabulous local coffee house/shop. Friendly, wonderful people work there & hang out there. The coffee was great, the atmosphere, just what a coffee house should be and really made our trip in Cortez. Take a break and smell the coffee....

“I would NOT be shocked at the food”
Reviewed May 7, 2012

The idea of indian food as fried bread is pretty lame. The history of American Indian Food is bigger than this place but if you are hungry, they have something to eat.

“Great space, free internet!, good coffee and decent food.”
Reviewed March 24, 2012

Thank goodness for Spruce Tree! Amongst the chain restaurants and drivethroughs that populate most small towns in southern Colorado and New Mexico, Spruce Tree is a unique standout, briming with personality, charm and real espresso. They even leave their free internet on for customers to use at all hours -- if the shop isn't open, you're welcome to sit on their back porch or sign on from the restaurant next door. Food is average...but a small price to pay for an overall wonderful experience.
