A small eclectic collection. Friendly volunteers. Summer brings amazing programs and Indian Dancers.

This little museum is worth the stop, Very clean restrooms, cold water fountain, small store with unique souvenirs, some by locals. It has local events lists, internet use, videos, helpful staff, clean and new building, adjacent to a public pool. For national park passport carriers, you can get yours stamped here.

Downtown Cortez Cultural Center has a variety of items; artifacts, historical displays, books and jewelry for sale. One could spend an hour and absorb most of the contents. The Staff is very friendly and helpful, recommending several things in the area to do and see.

We only saw the museum portion...it was a very nice, little, locally-run affair. If you want to help local folks, make you purchases here!

Interesting exhibits, cordial staff. Someone was there to explain or discuss any or every exhibit. Truly informative.
