“Mineral Baths in Hot Springs Arkansas”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

When visiting Hot Springs, Arkansas a must visit attraction are the "hot mineral baths" that have been attracting Presidents, dignitaries and scores of tourists since before the turn of the century. The warm mineral baths are believed to have medicinal power. Whether they do or not, a few hours in the heated pools of water drawn from deep below earth makes for a most relaxing experience. Of the half dozen bath houses, only the Quapaw Baths, named after the Indian tribe that lived in what is now considered Arkansas in the 1700's, is privately owned. All the rest of the baths are managed by the federal government. We had a most delightful afternoon at the Quapaw serviced by a most attentive staff.

“The private bath and massage was AMAZING!”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

I will preface this review with the reasoning behind the four stars instead of five. The four star rating is because of the price, NOT the staff or cleanliness. I truly believed the price was above and beyond comparable prices in other places in and around Hot Springs that also provided a clean and customer service oriented experience. The staff was truly amazing and although it was an upgrade in cost, the arnica for joint problems did a wonderful job. They do in fact use top of the line spa products, which could be the cause for the higher prices. My massage therapist was AMAZING and he was VERY professional. My bath attendant was very sweet and attentive. The facility is very comfortable, clean with interesting history and architecture. I have to give the Quapaw props for not rushing me through like cattle. Word to the wise ladies, always take the elevators and gentlemen, PLEASE do not cross your legs with wide swinging motions. That part of the experience I could have most definitely done without.

“Great experience - try the pools!”
Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

We only did the pools - great value for a relaxing time. We ended up staying about 1-1/2 hours in the pools moving between the bottom 3 (temps in those ranged from 98° to 104°). It cost $18/person & you can stay as long as you like. You just have to bring your bathing suit & flip flops (rubber soled shoes...no leather). They provide towels. They also give you as much cold mineral water as you want to drink. Staff was very nice. We were quite relaxed afterwards! Definitely a must do. :)

This was a great experience. They have four different soaking pools at different temperatures. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. The staff was very friendly. They served cold mineral water while you were there. The price was very reasonable. If you are just doing the soaking pools, you don't need an appointment. It's a must do if you are in the Hot Springs area.

I was told by a local vendor that Quapaw was the best place to go. It had been renovated not too long ago. The staff was very friendly & attentive. We were served ice cold mineral water while we were soaking in the pools. The staff was very good about explaining everything to me & my mother. It was very clean. My mom has had 2 hip replacements & she was so excited that she could crouch down in the water & she said it really helped with the pain she was having that day from all of the walking we had been doing.
