“A Most Charming and Relaxing Stay in Hot Springs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2011

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful 2 night (Nov 16-18) stay at the Lookout Point B&B in Hot Springs, AR. Ray and Kristie are the perfect hosts for this lovely bed and Breakfast on Lake Hamilton. We stayed in the Pocahontas Room with a King Size, extremely comfortable bed, a small gas fireplace,a patio with 2 wonderful rocking chairs, that was not only extremely clean, and quiet place to stay. They have a small business center on the landing with a computer for those that can't yet leave it all behind. There is a library, with DVDs for you use, a snack bar with munchies and soft drinks, and Ray will help you find a nice place for lunch or dinner.
The breakfasts are absolutely heaven, and the staff is stupendous. The afternoon reception is superb, but the Wednesday chocolate one has to be the best!
You are away from the noisy downtown, but close enough to everything if you "have to have" it. It is just so charming and quiet, and after 12 years in DC I was more than happy we found it! It's just an hour from LR/NLR.

Our stay at Lookout Point was fabulous. The room was beautiful, the staff was so nice to us and very informative. There was an issue with our massages that the staff at Lookout Point accidently messed up BUT they did everything in their power to make things right. They made our stay extra special and made us feel like royalty. The food was so delicious and they made it very romantic for us. We definitely recommend them and can not wait to come again.

We enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing getaway at Lookout Point Inn in September with my two sisters, their husbands and my 90 yr. old mom. When we made the reservations, the owners were very helpful in suggesting the perfect room for my mom. She had a first floor room with a patio near the bird feeders which she thoroughly enjoyed. All of us had rooms with balconies or patios which I highly suggest as the views of the beautiful grounds and lake are spectacular. The staff was very helpful in suggesting restaurants, shops and nearby golf courses. The Inn has comfortable areas indoors and out to gather and visit, play games etc.
All in all, it was a lovely stay at a lovely B&B. Truly one of the nicest we've ever experienced.

While we loved the room and amenities (heated floors), this place is ridiculously overpriced. With it being almost $400/night, we were expecting to be BLOWN AWAY. [I mean, we paid $400 a night on our honeymoon on a secluded island in the Pacific, so we have no problem doing it when it's worth it.] Positives: It was lovely being by the lake and we took advantage of the owner's canoe. That was lots of fun. Negatives: Breakfast was a little underwhelming...again, especially for the price.
But, all in all, it was fun. I would stay again only if I got a GREAT discount.

Room Tip: Evening Shade was a great room and quiet.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your stay last March. We really appreciate feedback, and ask every guest at check-out for their suggestions to improve. I am truly sorry that you felt you did not receive appropriate value for your stay. We have a wide variety of room rates, based upon seasons, day of the week and the type of room.

Unlike upscale hotels where you'll see charges for amenities, most everything is included at Lookout Point. Wireless internet; bottled water; 24-hr snack bar with prepackaged snacks, coffee, tea, & sodas; 2-3 course breakfast; canoe; parking; afternoon homemade refreshments including wine; DVD's----it's all complimentary at the inn. Not to mention a stunning view from all rooms, plus innkeepers and staff dedicated to assisting you in creating a perfect getaway.

My husband chose this bed and breakfast after a quick search for places we could have our honeymoon that were within driving distance from our home in the Dallas area. Based on reviews, he thought this B&B would be a great place to kick off our marriage--and he was right!

Ray and Kristie, the owners of Lookout Point Inn, were present and available during most of our stay. They and LeAnne were extremely helpful in advising us about the Hot Springs area, recommending restaurants and activities, and setting up a weekend kayak excursion for us. I have never met friendlier, warmer people; you can tell that this inn is their passion.

On top of the fun time, the inn itself is beautiful! It's set against Lake Hamilton and tucked away just enough that you feel secluded from the world.

Hubby and I wholeheartedly recommend lookout Point Inn for a romantic rendezvous or a relaxing getaway. Though it is billed as family-friendly, I wouldn't recommend taking smaller children; the atmosphere of the place isn't really suitable for young kids and the type of guests who would choose to stay at this inn don't want to stay up all night because of a crying child. Other than that, prepare to never want to leave!

Lookout Point is an excellent place to stay. The accomodations are immaculate and very comfortable. The owner's have thought of every detail and anticipated anything to make your stay great. We stayed in the Sunset room. We had a very comfortable bed, a fireplace, a nice sitting area and a very nice bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. They even provided robes and lotions, shampoo, etc. The view outside our bay window was just beautiful with the lake and the fall foilage. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the dinning room where you could sit at a table by yourself or enjoy the company of others.
