“Simply the best in Hot Springs Arkansas”
Reviewed November 5, 2009

This is hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I highly recommend ordering a corner suite as it is very spacious and the views are great. Nice beds, good furniture, excellent design. The staff was nothing but amazing, and polite. They truly go out of their way to make your stay more enjoyable. Due to a late arrival the first night there, we ordered room service. The last night at the hotel we ate at the restaurant because the food was so good, we had to have it again before we left (order the Cuban Burger, and save room for the pecan pie). The complimentary cooked order breakfast is well worth waking up for, and will make you laugh when you hear the phrase "Complimentary Continental Breakfast" at other hotels. After staying here, I can say this for a fact: If you read a bad review (for this hotel at least), ignore it. I have always been apprehensive about any place I choose because no matter what, you will always find someone complaining of a horrible experience. I guess in the end though, there are some people out there who are always looking for something to complain about (and there are always two sides to every story). If you stay here for pleasure, might I recommend the Quapaw Bath House and Spa, BubbaLu's, Mid-America Science Museum, and the Garvan Woodland Gardens. If you can make it part of your route, take the Talimena Scenic Drive (from Talihina, Oklahoma to Mena, Arkansas) if at all possible, it is stunning.

I was surprised that this hotel was so cheap as to charge $10 a day for internet access in your room. You could go to the business center and use the internet free but if you connected in your room there is a $10 per day charge. This is really bad when you want to work late at night or early in the morning. The one thing they have going for them is the location - it is a great location for a conference or if you just want to visit the historic district.

My wife and I stayed at the Embassy Suites while I travelled on business. The hotel was spottless and the staff were friendly and helpfull. The open atrium was a warm and inviting place to sit during the day and read, while in the evenings a great place to have a drink. The restaurant food was good, while the choices were limited. Prices were to be expected. The suite was nicely decorated, and very clean. Overall I would highly reccommed this hotel to anyone. $10 per day for internet......c'mon

Traveled with a five year old who loved the pool. Quiet hotel. Close enough to the strip to walk, but we drove. Rooms were very roomy and comfortable. Clean as well. Breakfast in the morning was great, and the complimentary happy hour in the afternoons was delightful. All in all a great stay. Will re-book if traveling to Hot Springs again.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites for an Arkansas Realtor Association Convention. The hotel is adjacent to the Convention Center so everything is within walking distance. I didn't move my car until it was time to leave! We enjoyed their lobby bar each night after our meetings. They were exceptionally attentive and accomodated our large group. The front desk staff greeted you by name and provided immediate attention when needed. I had a clogged sink that was repaired promptly. I would recommend this to anyone traveling on business. The staff made you feel like you were in your own home. The breakfast chef was great. She prepared anything you asked for. The lobby bartender was a gem as well. She prepared a Bahama Mama for us to try!

The service was great. Friendly staff that made everyone feel at home.
Positives:
Free breakfast (real breakfast)
$1 drinks at night - free non-alcoholic (5:30 to 7pm) for guests
(I have seen complaints that this Embassy suites charges $1 for drinks when they are free at other Embassy suites - please note, this is because of some AR law)
On-site massage services
Big suite
Friendly staff
Free shuttle to places around hotel
Little sink, fridge, microwave - Kitchenette area
Fresh hotel design - you get the feel that someone that knows hotels well, designed this hotel to maximize openness - very comfortable space
Indoor pool, small workout area
Nice open area with waterfall, great for kicking back in the evenings

Negative
Wireless costs money and does not work well ($10 a day for slow wireless)

We found the service to be great. The front desk, cleaning crew, bar and wait staff were very friendly. Our corner suite was clean, spacious, much more than we expected. The hotel location is about a block and a half from Central Ave was perfect for us. There was not much traffic around the hotel and parking spaces were plentiful.
The only drawback to the hotel was that they allow pets and their owners were not keen on cleaning up after their animals outside of the hotel. Alot of animal byproduct on the sidewalk and grass.
