We stopped on our way out of town at end of our trip to Hot Springs based on TripAdvisor reviews and Bed and Breakfast recommendations. Friendly staff overall. Amazingly fresh & delicious house salad and salmon salad to take on the road with us. The slight wait we endured was made up for by knowing the salmon was freshly cooked to order. Next time will try the coffee.

Like many venues in Hot Springs, Java Primos multitasks with breakfast, lunch and dinner items (not on the general menu) as well as some craft items for sale. Located in a strip center on Cenral a mile or so south of 270, it's an unassuming java shop. We didn't try any of the coffee items because of the wonderful menu items.

Lunch options include wraps, paninis, and sandwiches, all of which are grilled, and served with a choice of a side. Two adults split a chicken hummas wrap, with a whole slice fruit side, which they graciously split and served on real china with real serveware.. Fabulous.

Java also offers an extensive menu of desserts and our son adored the chocolate pie.

So good we went for dinner one night and breakfast later on in our trip. Sandwiches were delicious, club sandwich was fresh tasting and built well; egg platter with potatoes with a hint of Italian seasoning was great. Biscuit was dry and not too good. The bottomless ceramic mug coffee was awesome. On a previous visit, we tried the homemade carrot cake, and it is wonderful. The scones did not look appetizing, they may have been great, but we opted for the pecan-cinnamon shortbread. It was not our favorite; we're used to shortbread made with butter, and this was not. Overall, though, we highly recommend this place, it's casual vibe and friendly atmosphere is catching. We definitely will return.

If you are visiting Hot Springs, you need to plan to eat at least one meal here. They have a wonderful menu and some fantastic desserts. I have never eaten anything there that wasn't fresh and flavorful. They also have some great jewelry and some SEC items such as purses and Christmas ornaments.
