Loved seeing Bathhouse Row. Had to read up on the history. At the time of our visit, only 2 bathhouses are open and operating as a bathhouse. Worth visiting a spa to get the whole experience.

Learn about the history of the first spas in the US. If you can, take the time to get a bath or massage. I am very shy but braved the experience and would definitely do it again. The area is beautiful and the hot springs run freely in fountains and jug filling centers. A steamy good time even on hot days.

Some of the bathhouses show movies of the history of the area, springs and baths, and have museum displays.

The history is what I liked about Bathhouse Row. And it is a beautiful walk because it is a shady street with these beautiful Bathhouses down the street with the historical markers explaining what you are looking at.

This area of town was interesting, because of the historical influence. There were signs in front of each bathhouse that gave you background information, as well as pictures from the early 1900's when the bathhouses were in their prime. It was nice to stroll up and down this stretch which also had boutiques and antiques on the opposite side of the street.

We went on a Tuesday and all houses were closed :(
Beautiful architecture is definitely worth seeing on a walking tour! Barbara Mandrell's old country-western song was right on about this place
