One of the beautiful lakes in the Hot Springs area in south central Arkansas. Boating, camping hiking.

A ride around the lake is relaxing. There are places to stay, fish, and get in some target practice.

Beautiful in the Spring, great fishing to boot. Gorgeous the Fall, good fishing and hunting too. To cruise the Lake and view the mountains is, well, do it and tell me you don't feel God. It's themost beautiful place on Earth to me.

We love this lake. When we visit we visit the part around Montgomery County, Arkansas. There are 4 different lodges at the lake there, and they are all different but wonderful. Mt. Harbor has a wonderful place to eat and be seen. This area attracts many different people from all around the multi state area. Shangri La Resort has a very good restaurant with home made pies that will knock your socks off plus delicious plate lunches, try the fried chicken. They also have the cleanest motel rooms you will ever see. Lake Ouachita Shores is a fun place to go, so much to do and see, as well. Hwy 27 Fishing village is off Hwy 27 on the other side of Mt. Ida, and it is not to be missed. It is a great place to fish and visit and it is so much fun as well. We love Mt. Ida, the town nearby. There are world famous crystal mines there and you can buy crystals or dig your own out of the mountain nearby. They have crystal shops you can find more information there. We cannot wait until we can go back again and visit the area. A family vacation paradise, that's for sure!

Huge lake. Clear, clean water with gravel bottom - excellent water quality. One of few lakes suitable for scuba diving. Best fearures are the numerous islands and pea-gravel beaches. We always go here and love it!
