We saw on-line all the statements about this place! We were staying across the street, so we decided to fight the croud, so to speak, and go there. Very long wait, food was adequate. Basically like a "Waffle House' type menu, with a few exceptions. We had the regular bacon, eggs & toast. The waited about an hour to get it. Hard to get coffee refills, hardly any wait staff, on weekend. When we got breakfast, sent out on "salad' plate, if that tells you the porptions, the bacon was so think you could actually see thru it. The coffe was good, when we got it and the orange juice was good. It stated "fresh squeezed, but not & the oj very $$. Will try another breakfast next time!

We had breakfast on Sunday AM and enjoyed our meals. The food was good, the servers attentive and friendly. The only down side is you need to get their early on Sunday because of the line. We weren't in that big of a hurry, so it didn't bother us, but our predicted 20 minute wait was closer to 40. We enjoyed and will go back (just earlier in the morning)

Good place, good food. Just a little on the expensive side, but since it's the only restaurant that not too scary in the area, it has a good lock on business. They don't take credit cards, so be aware of that.

I would really like to give this place a better review. I ate hear years ago and remember it as fantastic but today well another story. The place was crowded after all a major convention was in town and the tourist as well made it somewhat of a wait, that is OK it at the end of the wait the food makes you forget it. Today that did not happen first off the do not take credit cards so be prepared the prices for what you get seem to be a little high. They have very limited menu items basically pancakes, waffles, eggs and ham, bacon or sausage. The service was quick but the meat especially seemed to have been placed under a warmer waiting on someone to order it. The eggs are of a good quality and were prepared well the service was somewhat lacking. Also be aware that you will be elbow to elbow with your fellow dinners and if you happen to be sitting next to a potty mouth you day might not get started like you would like. I will have to say given the choice of McDonald's or this place I will chose McDonald's not much difference it quality but you at least are not sitting in your fellow dinners lap.

I've visited The Pancake Shop since I was little, and I think it's only gotten better over the years! If you love breakfast, do NOT miss out on eating at The Pancake Shop. It's a great location and is a good place to start your day in downtown Hot Springs. The staff is also extremely friendly.
