This place had some pretty good catfish but the service was lacking. It's worth a try if you want some pretty good tasting catfish. They just need to manage the place a little bit better. I would eat from there again.

We came up this way for a mini vaction on the lake, and what better meal to end a day with than seafood. We have our favorite place back in Okc, but this was better. My wife seconds the notion, and so it passes. Great stuff.

Excellent food and very friendly service. Some of the best hush puppies ever and the pies are very good as well. The only problem is they give you way too much food and you are stuffed, miserable and need a nap afterwards. This place will be on the must do list every trip to Hot Springs.

We have a saying at Grampa's "If you leave hungry, we havent done our job!".

We enjoyed having you at the restaurant and look forward to your repeat visits. The hush puppies and fried pies are 2 of the most popular items and just a couple of those that are homemade!

Thank you for your visit and response.

Sincerely, Matt Kaczor

We felt like we were headed on a wild goose chase trying to chase down a good catfish dinner, but we knew we scored when we found Grandpa's.
As soon as we were seated, the waitress brought bowls of pinto beans, cole slaw, and baskets of "cornbread" which were in our view, hush puppies.
The catfish was the freshest I have tasted in ages, the beans cooked just right with plenty of bacon, the slaw was crisp with the right balance of sweet and vinegary, the jalapeno cornbread is still making my mouth water.
You did a big appetite or plan to share because 5 pieces is a lot of fish when you enjoy the sides as much as I do.
It is a very plain, unassuming looking place, but well worth the hunt.
