Haven is one of the best places I have stayed worldwide. Hew, Rosie, Mi , Sal and little Haven dog make it feel like a real home. The location is incredible, the rooms superb, the atmosphere relaxing, and the food delicious (thanks again Mi!) It is truly a haven away from the hustle and bustle that is so common in Vietnam.

I had never felt the need to open up a trip advisor account before despite travelling around the world using it often as a resource.

However, our stay at Haven convinced me to join and tell everybody how wonderful this place is. The place is really small and it deserves as much good publicity as it can get on this website, as Rosie and Hue, the hospitable owners, go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and just plain great. They even went to the pharmacy for us, noticing we had bruises from a motorcycle accident.

The food is by far the best we had in Vietnam, and although the room and dinner are much more expensive than what we're used to paying, it was worth every penny. The beach is pretty much private for hundreds of meters, and the setting magnificient. They have a cute loveable dog, board games, books, guitars, hammocks, long chairs; everything you need to relax.

Best hostel during our three month trip, hands down. Spectacular. GO THERE!

Thanks to Rosie and Huw my final days in Vietnam were spent in comfort by the sea with little else to worry about than whether I should dip in the ocean or lie in a hammock with a book. Lovely place, great atmosphere, great food and they also seem genuinely keen on improving the village around them rather than sucking out profits. Being in their first year, they're also extremely approachable and friendly as owners, and I hope it stays this way.

Also, the beds are the comfiest in Vietnam. I dare anyone to contradict me on this.

Thanks guys!

Andy (:

Room Tip: Stayed in the dorm, which as mentioned is comfy as sin, and all the beds looked equally so.

I stayed at Haven initially alone and then some months later with my fiancé. I can't say enough about this beautiful little guesthouse off the beaten track, away from mass tourism. Whether you're alone, travelling with friends or family, or travelling as a couple, "Haven" will provide you with the perfect relaxing experience. Rosie and Huw and their dedicated team of Vietnamese and Western staff are eager to meet your every need. The beach is blissful, the food delicious and the adjoining fishing village full of friendly locals keen to make your acquaintance. Swimming in the late afternoons or playing soccer on the beach, each with the local fisher men's children is also an appealing option. I see that Haven has a 5 star rating -a rarity on Trip Advisor! But it has thoroughly earned this mantle. Go and see for yourself. You will find an atmosphere that is so homely and welcoming it'll be difficult to leave. I now incorporate Haven into all of my trips to Vietnam. Bliss!

The Haven Guesthouse is in the Village Bai Xep, which is a small fisher village with very friendly locals. There are hardly any tourists and you can relax from all the motorbikes, horns and noisy things. From the beach you can either swim or hire a round boat (kind of adventure, try to paddle yourself! ) to get to a small island with a private beach and nothing else.

The guesthouse is located directly at the beach. The relaxing area is very comfortable and you can spend the whole day with just doing nothing. The dorm is very clean, modern (quiet AC, 2 lockers) and comfortable (perfect mattresses).

The owners Rosie and Huw do everything to ensure that you have a pleasant stay and even take care of you if you are sick (like we were). Like the rest of the staff they always have a smile on their face which brings you in a happy mood. Apart from them, there is the cutest and funniest dog in whole Vietnam, Haven!

The only negative thing is the food. It was so good during our stay that we probably have to make a diet to get rid of the additional kilos.

All in all, these were the best five days we have spent in Vietnam and we were very sad to leave. We can definitely recommend this place and will come back if we go to Vietnam.

Thanks Rosie, Huw, Haven and all the others! We hug you and hope to see you again!
