How could you not but give it top reviews!? Besides being super clean, having comfortable beds at a reasonable price and located beside an almost private and cosy beach, there are two reasons why this place rocks and beats a hotel hands down;
(1) owners Rosie and huw are amazing people. Friendly and helpful. They go out of their way and more to ensure your comfort.
(2) authentic Vietnamese culture- this place is free from rampant tourism, in fact it is bang smack in the middle of a small Vietnamese fishing village. The real deal!

Tip- the food here is top notch, tasty, wholesome and plentiful. certainly stay in for one night to eat here.

Prediction- I would certainly come back, I'm guessing they may have to extend in the near future!

Thanks guys!

Haven is a perfect blend of east meets west. A small beautiful almost Mediterranean style guest house overlooking a blue azure sea with high, (but not impersonal) service standards, yet in a small traditional Vietnamese fishing village, as yet unscathed by tourism.

Our train was delayed an hour when we arrived in Qui Nhon, the hotel had arranged a taxi and the smiling driver was waiting for us. It took around 30 minutes for us to reach the fishing village; the streets are narrow and we had to negotiate the last part of the journey on foot (only five minutes), the driver helped us with our luggage.

Huw, Rosie and their staff were there to greet us and after showing us to our lovely comfortable room we had a cold beer (complementary) and took in the breathtaking beauty of our surroundings.

We were the only guests for a couple of days and we were made to feel very much at home. On the second day, the young Vietnamese lady who helps to cook the delicious meals invited us to the opening of her small shop/café (the only one in the village). She had prepared a sumptuous feast and we were honoured to be part of the family celebrations. Guests at Haven are very much encouraged to interact with the villagers who were very welcoming and patiently (and probably amusedly) put up with our attempts at learning Vietnamese.

We loved our bedroom with the large comfortable bed with crisp white linen sheets and fluffy towels. It was bright and tastefully furnished with a good air con system plenty of wardrobe space and a super flat screen internet TV which had not only all of the live cable channels but also a large catalogue of films.

We really loved mealtimes at Haven which we shared with Huw, Rosie and their staff. Lots of great conversation and laughter. Most of the food. is sourced locally from the village and daily meals are decided based upon what produce is available. There is no MSG or additives incorporated in the cooking. Meals are buffet style so you can eat as much or as little as you wish. There is an honesty bar and you are encouraged to help yourself and record daily what you have had.

We were very sad to leave at the end of our 3 day stay and felt that we had made some very good friends.

A brilliant, tucked away gem of a place. We stayed 5 nights in March 2013, with perfect weather, great guests to share laughs, a drink or two and the best home cooked meals ever. Thank you Mi :) Rosie and Huw. A perfect place for couples to relax and unwind, enjoy village life, swim in a gorgeous cove and soak up all that rural and friendly Vietnam has to offer. The rooms are generous and perfectly attired with separate bathrooms, big beds, crisp, fresh linen, cooled by the sea breezes or aircon if you need it. The communal bar and lounge area is a perfect place to enjoy a few drinks and the charm of the fishing fleet and ocean views. Don't miss Haven on your Vietnam holiday.

Room Tip: Make sure you have lunch in the village. Fresh, wonderful food.

Youll' wonder how you found this place - and why youve booked to leave... great accommodation, tasty home cooked buffet style food and hosts that will go to every effort to make your stay amazing. I spent two months in this little gem - and would definitely go back.
Right on the beach - and secretly tucked away as its actually located INSIDE a traditonal vietnamese fishing village.

You can sleep in the hammock all day or choose to walk to the local waterfall or swim to the adjacent island. Perfect for a week of pure relaxation after the normal everyday madness.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Just a really good offshoot from the hustle and bustle of Vietnam in general. Really nice rooms, views are lovely, quiet, friendly hosts. Nice atmosphere created for just sitting and reading and being on the beach with little fuss/hassles. Village is simple, really nice to sit down and eat with locals (you won't find a restaurant with a menu in the village - take a seat next to the well and point to what you want on the table. It changes daily but costs next to nothing, just watch and learn). Trip to waterfall worthwhile and you pretty much have to eat with the hosts - but this meal is spectacular!

Room Tip: We had upstairs balcony room which was great but all the rooms are really good.

Divine beach side guest house in a small village. Rosie and Huw (the managers) have built a quiet paradise that integrates the comforts of crisp clean sheets, well appointed light filled rooms (each room has its own bathroom) the sounds of waves crashing with an authentic Vietnamese fishing village at your door step. The meals are fresh and delightful with many of the ingredients being sourced from the local village - in fact the establishment of the guest house has brought many benefits to the local community with Rosie and Huw playing an active role in village infrastructure, schools and employment. There is a communal dining/bar/lounge area that encourages relaxed conversation, idle chatter over a book or a drink with an incredible view of the ocean - at night in March there were the fairy lights of all the lobster pots bobbing on the waves. Having lunch in the village is an awesome experience as you sit on the tiny chairs and eat local foods. This is a place of heart and community that leaves a warmth in the soul.

I stayed in Haven in the dorm in January.

I can safely say I have never seen a dorm like it: Crisp snow white sheets and (three!) fluffy towels (including, thoughtfully, a big beach towel), air conditioning, a great shower, a palm-fringed view of the sunrise over the sea FROM MY BED, laundry done for me free of charge in a proper washing machine with proper washing powder, and a delicious, varied breakfast : all for ten dollars!

However, the best thing about Haven is the atmosphere : It's sequestered at the end of a lane in a sleepy fishing village so, although you are very much in rural Vietnam, you feel you have space (helped by the view out to the horizon). This is not an easy thing to find in Vietnam. Nobody bothers you, but should you feel like conversation, Rosie and Huw are fascinating people to talk to. Some of the other guests were pretty interesting too! I came away feeling enriched by my stay.
