Jiaosi Shuiyue Hot Spring Hotel is a minsu, i.e. homestay, except that you get the entire apartment to yourself rather than having to share it with the owners. Each apartment is a loft, making the room extra spacious and providing privacy to those who need it. My parents and my family stayed in two separate lofts. Both were very clean, new, and well-maintained. There were toiletries, towels, hair dryer, kettle, tea, disposable slippers, refrigerator, breakfast vouchers, and information about the neighborhood. Wifi is available, but access can be spotty.
The best part was having a gorgeous tub in our loft that piped in hot spring water. Soaking in it at night felt like heaven. There is a sofa bed downstairs that can be opened up, thus the loft can easily fit 4 people, if not more. Within the apartment complex, there is rooftop access where you can relax and enjoy the quiet and beauty of the agricultural fields around you. An indoor gym as well as outdoor hot spring pools are also available.
The homestay is a short walk from the train station, about 8-10minutes, and located next to a lively public hot spring and plenty of eateries. Mr Xie, the person whom I communicated with, was extremely helpful and bent over backwards to accommodate us, including providing us with an extra mattress for our two-year-old toddler.
I would highly recommend this homestay/loft to anyone who is looking for a spacious, clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced home away from home!
