The great thing about accommodations in Sri Lanka is majority of them are guest houses, and a few small hotels, and because of this we were able to directly support local business owners. Everywhere we stayed we had breakfast included – it was both convenient and delicious. The hosts were always flexible on offering continental or local breakfast options.
The hosts are what made our stay in Sri Lanka both comfortable and memorable. They were always aiming to accommodate your needs, making sure you were as comfortable as you can be with what they have to offer – they have been great examples of the wonderful hospitality you hear about in Sri Lanka. They (along with the Tuk Tuk drivers) are also a wealth of information, don’t underestimate them, and feel free to ask about anything and everything.
The room was comfortable, clean, and had its own shower with hot water. Breakfast was continental and delicious. The Wi-Fi here was also great, especially in the living room of the guest house. The hostess was extremely nice and welcoming! The hotel is located within walking distance from the main part of the town. To get to the main attractions, you have to take a Tuk Tuk, which is convenient to do.
