My family and me stayed two nights in this place. The people were very nice and tried to satisfy us. It's very cool in Nuware Eliya and I think a heater can be a great addition to this place.
They've managed to arrange us the room so that all of us will be able to sleep (couple + 2 kids + baby).
The food is quite cheap and good!

Nice place for families. Nice staff, room and washroom were clean, with a comfortable, calm balcony. Close to restaurants, park and Gregory Lake. What more, FREE WIFI.
The rooms we got has 2 double beds, which is a plus factor in case you are travelling as a group.
Our stay was worth it.

Room Tip: 105 and 108

My wife and I stayed 1 night here while travelling on our honeymoon. While it was comfortable it was one of the more expensive places we stayed and we got better value elsewhere throughout Sri Lanka. We got one of the larger rooms with dining area away from the main residence however ate in the main building which the meal was fine. If you are after an alcoholic beverage you need to bring your own, there is a "pub" up the street which is an experience/laugh in itself. All in all we had a good time, may be better in a busier time. Would not say don't go, just had better accommodation elsewhere in country and possibly could find something better in Nuwara Eliya.

My wife and I stayed here 1 night as we were on the way through and wanted to visit Worlds End early in the morning. Staff were friendly and we had a great dinner with them, staff kept asking if we wanted more. We had the front cottage which had a double bed, not 2 singles as we have found in a lot of places. Clean warm room however wasnt particularly cold while we were here. Staff organised a packed breakfast for us to enjoy when we walked to world end. We did walk around once checked in and found some dodgy places as we were trying to find a beer, but this just reassured us that we stayed in the right place. No problems for us other than we had to ask for towels, minor issue.

We stayed at the cottage at front. Very good room and really cozy. The place is awesome. I loved Nuwera Eliya and Carnation Rest was about a kilometer from Gregory Lake. The rooms were carpeted and kept it warm. But it still requires a room heater because this place can get really cold during the winters. The service here was pretty good and the owner was a very nice person. The price we paid for this place was totally worth it. Before reaching Nuwera Eliya, we had decided that we'd stay here only for a night. But as soon as we reached, we changed our mind. We spent 2 nights here and it was awesome. The hotel was good and for couples, I would recommend the cottages in the front. Totally worth it.

Room was fine. Basic but fine. We paid 2000 for one night in the old style rooms.

Took ages to get a straight price for the room out of the staff which was frustrating after a long trip. I think we asked the same question 5-6 times to the same person.

Each time we asked the staff for something it was like nobody had ever asked that question, and the staff didn't know what to do. The room was missing towels, top sheet for bed and toilet paper. Each time we asked for something it took about 10-15 minutes to get resolved and lots of blank expressions. But to their credit, always they found what we needed, so just need to be patient. Maybe it's their first hospitality job?

Anyway, its good value for the price
