The place is a basic guesthouse. From the outside it looks quite new and okay, the first impressionbof the inside was okay as well.
Looks can deceive, though. Even if the building is fairly new, there were some issues.
Our room did not get hot water, I guess this was a temporary problem and we got to use the showers in thea other room instead.
Since Nuwaraeliya is at the altitude of about 2000 meters, the nights get quite cold. Even when shut the windows in our room were not properly sealed, I could almost fit a finger into the crack. The 7 celsius temperature outside meant we had to sleep with some extra clothes on.
The bed also did not have a proper blanket, just the bed cover sheet.
We agreed on breakfast st 07:30, it finally arrived at 08:10. The breakfast itself was okay, though.
The place had a great view to the lake and the staff was quite friendly, no complaints there. For us this was sold as a part of a tour, I assume they work mostly with the tour agencies and are not available at your typical online reservation sites.
