“A worthwhile hike”

We are all 64+ and we made it. Do not be talked out of it it is worth the effort. Take the Bakers Falls route round.

“Gorgeous!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

Spectacular and a great place to walk around and peer over 'the end of the world'. The only hitch is that apparently there are some insurance issues which state you can't drive up there in a car and you have to hire some guys with a van to take you up - so it's a bit of a rip off. But worth it for the lovely view.

“Sri Lanka's End”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2013

The walk of 9 km through Horton Plains is OK, just follow the path (with good walking shoes). Just walking and watching the birds is already an amazing experience. Make sure you have water and an umbrella with you because the weather can change quickly. From very hot to very much rain (and vice versa)

“Expensive view”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

The walk through Horton Plains National Park is okay, just follow the path. The World's End view is great but just a lot of cash required to see it. If this is the first great view you have seen in Sri Lanka you will be very impressed, but there are so many great views that you may feel like us, it's good but we have seen other fantastic views and not had to pay almost £30.

There is about a 800 metre sheer drop so keep an eye on kids.

“Hot!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

An early start but not a huge amount to see in January. Very quickly got really hot. Best done with a guide who knows the route. Some people in front of us were corrected by my guide at one stage and several asked the way. Others were doing it the hard way round probably because they didn't know the inclines.
