We stayed the night before at the bungalow inside the park so it was easy for us to start the hike real early. You need to get there early before 9:00 am since the fog rolls in around that time and you don't see anything. We were able to experience the clear views before the fog.

I went here some ....14 years ago now (the drop-down won't let me put in the right date) and it was something I still remember vividly, We rose early for the 4x4 journey to near the top, then began our walk. Only 20-30 minutes as I recall.

Getting there just as the sun rose and the clouds parted was extraordinary and justified the early start.

After all is said and done, it is *just* a view, but on the right day, it's a view you will see nowhere else.

On a cloudy day, I imagine it would be disappointing, but for me it was something to treasure.

the views are amazing and you could experience true beauty of nature in sri lanka. Every district is different to the other.
We liked the hike to get to worlds end and definitely enjoyed it.

Allow a good 45 mins extra in a van, to get to the starting point of the walk, as the road's not great getting there. Look out for Sambar deer on the way up in the fields. It was very wet when we got there, and our guide was advised to only take us to Little World's End. There had been a lot of rain which made climbing up then down a waterfall a bit too dangerous, so we were happy to take the easier route. The route we took was perfect for our level of walking - we also didn't have the most appropriate footwear. When we got to the viewing point it was impressive, however the cloud cover comes in fast as you're so high. Don't forget the camera! But stay away from the edge, it's a sheer drop and there's absolutely no fence to stop you falling down.
