As the belief goes Ravana had kept Sita confined in Ashok Vatika. If this is "Ashok Vatika" then the place is really good, the climate is mildly cold and the surroundings are beautiful with lush green hills and gardens. The temple though seems to be slightly run down, due to lack of funds. The giant footsteps believed to be of Lord Hanuman is somewhat difficult to digest but makes an interesting sight. There is a small waterfall beside the temple and is a good place to rest, breathe in fresh air and enjoy the sights and the weather. A memorable place to visit.
