We traveled with our family of 4 - 2 kids 10 and 14. We are very used to camping in tents and being adventurous. This is a fun adventure camp if this is your style - it is definitely roughing it...1 step above a tent and it's a shared camp bathroom that was maintained well and clean. And if you don't do bugs - just like anything outdoors and wet, there are a lot of creatures. We really enjoyed our 2 nights there, however. The canoeing (or canyoning) and the rafting trip was fantastic. Our guides were great, young guys and friendly. Both nights dinner was simple, but delicious. They bbqed pork and chicken that was so tasty! Breakfast was simple, but did the trick. And of course being outdoors everything tastes better. During the "downtime" we played card games, read our books and just relaxed.
This is a place where you do in the beginning or middle of your trip to be in nature. Then upgrade to a 4 or 5-star hotel at the end with a pool.
The guys were friendly and the place was fun - and the value can't be beat.
