“Simply awesome mother nature”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

I guess if you're a lovebird, this place is most suitable for you. I went with my family and young kids but still worth every single Won. This isle is really small. Ensure you have sufficient time and don't go with tour companies coz your time will be limited. Take your time and take a lot of pictures coz every corner of this isle is simply magnificent. You must try their home made 'pau' which is steamed using traditional gigantic stove. Absolutely delicious.

“nature and romantic”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

I have visited Nami Island on February and snow fallen from early morning so i saw more snow and icy... and its beautiful island to visit...
I am not a fan of K-drama but friends told me this place where the Winter Sonata took shots and i found several spots of Winter Sonata here...
Despite of Winter Sonata fever, i still enjoy the scenery, the nature and sit silent in one of coffee shops, sipping a cup of hot coffee while watching people around..
I like to go back here on Fall and i am sure this gonna be more beautiful on falls...
Its easy to reach Nami Island by bus and continue with ferry and there are many small cafes, souvenir shops which i bought fridge magnet and tote bags with Nami Island printed on it...
its worth to visit

“Nature-tripping”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

While the March visit was all-worthwile, I believe the perfect season to visit Nami is during Fall where there is an abundance of colors, blended with the perfect Autumn weather. Nonetheless, the beauty of the island is compromised due to commercialization. Hope the natural beauty would be preserved and there should be cautious planning on building concrete structures.

“Super Famous and Romantic Island”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Even the ground decorated with love shape here & there. To get to the island, you can just take a public transport, not really need to hire a tour guide. Just enjoyed the beautiful scenery as if you are winter sonata hero or heroins...

“Island of Nature and Art”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

I did not know what to expect out of Nami Island. I knew it for being the location of a popular Korean drama (Winter Sonata), but pretty much nothing more than that. I have to say that this is probably one of the prettiest places I've ever been to. It's so pretty and tranquil that it's almost like walking through a meditation.

I took the bus next to Tapgol Park from Seoul to Nami Island. Round trip ticket, ferry and entry visa fee costs 23,000 won. It takes about an hour to get to the wharf and about 5 minutes on the ferry transfer. The moon-shaped island is actually very small. In fact, it's so small, you can explore the entire island on foot within a day. Get a map of the island from the tourist information center to identify landmarks and know which places you'd like to see. I took a less traveled, but more scenic route by circling the island before visiting the more famous landmarks. Apart from road trails and tree lanes, there are also varying exhibitions of art all over the island. There are also exhibits showing recycled glass bottles and other items. A lot of them are eclectic sculptures. You'll also find animals freely roaming around. A squirrel, probably, or a rabbit. There are even ostriches. A litter of restaurants fill the main road where you can rest midday. There is probably no explaining how beautiful the entire place is. You'll have to see it and experience it. It's definitely worth the trip, though.
