I had a dream yoga retreat and stay at Prana Dewi last month. The meditation, yoga and trek to the temple we took were all a relaxing and inspiring experience. The accomodations are clean, simple, and delightful. They have an extraordinary atmosphere of true Bali life. The food is wholesome and refreshing. Staff and management are delightful as well as helpful. I highly recommend a stay here to enjoy Bali as it really meant to be for any visitor.

Room Tip: Any will do.

Getting there is quite the trip! But the reward is definitely worth it. The resort is beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were very nice. We loved all the animal and insect sounds 24/7 but if you don't like it this is not the place for you. Great outdoor shower, clean and spacious room, mosquito net. The bed is a bit hard and if you are in the standard room you will notice that the walls are paper thin. We overheard our neighbour snoring both nights. However, we were so happy with the surroundings that we didn't care so much. And you can always book a bungalow! Guided trek is fabulous, we only did the short tour through the jungle to the Batukaru temple. Recommended to everyone.

Room Tip: If you don't want to hear your neighbours, book a superior room (bungalow)

I am so mesmerised by Prana Dewi that I don't know where to begin. I have been living in Indonesia for 4 years and travelled or holidayed here a lot. It is very rare and indeed difficult to find a place which is as serene, natural and unpretentious as a Prana Dewi.

I think it's all been said in previous reviews but perhaps worth noting is that care has been taken to provide guests with all the comfort and amenities they need. This may be in response to a previous review and as such it's the first time in many stays around Indonesia that I have not had to ask for soap, towels, toilet paper, water, etc etc.

With its idyllic setting, lovely pool, deliciously home cooked meals, beautiful beautiful bungalows and the charming sound of the forest at night, this place ticks all my boxes. I cannot say enough good things.

My only regret is that I foolishly have not visited here sooner. I very much look forward to planning my next trip here, most likely on a retreat with Franziska.

Thank you!

Room Tip: All rooms are unique. Some are semi detached so if you want complete privacy, book a stand alone bun...

I stayed for a Meditation retreat in Prana Dewi and I think it is a really magical and healthy place.
I recommend it for everybody who want to get an idea of a more authentic side of Bali. Spiritual, clean, balanced with nature. The Bungalows are traditional and nice, the food is not spectacular but healthy and good.
The air is clear and fresh and the river below the ressort is the cleanest water I have ever seen in Bali.

My wife and I were travelling through Bali on a cycle tour. We stopped off at Prana Dewi Mountain Resort with no expectations or idea of how beautiful it would be. We didn't realise that the resort was a yoga retreat, I could imagine that it would be the perfect tranquil spot for doing yoga & meditation.

The outside shower with water pouring out of a large bamboo pipe was an interesting touch, this gave us a feeling of nature all around, even when we went to the bathroom ;-)

Our hut was just next to the pool with rice paddies surrounding us. As the sun set and night darkened we started to hear the abundance of frogs and insects. We loved the sounds, it put us to sleep, but if you don't like the sound of nature then you would probably not be happy.

We were lucky to be the only people staying at the resort that night, it was amazing!

This is a fabulous retreat; consisting of small but well fitted out cabins privately situated in the grounds of landscaped rice fields. There is a fresh water swimming pool, the paths through the rice fields that lead to the cabins have interesting and lovely sculptures or trees by the sides. The food was excellent: freshly picked and prepared. The people who run it are lovely: gentle and helpful. I had the best massage I've ever had - the was something so personal and giving about both that and everything else there.
The rice field walk was amazing and the guide helpful and friendly. We met local people, bathed in the muddy hot springs at the end and took lots of photos of the impossibly picturesque environment.

This is an amazingly beautiful resort set in rice fields with a view of the mountain in the background. Local hiking is inspiring and the guide informative. I stayed for a four day yoga retreat and took in all the wonder with a peaceful mind. This is the Bali we are all looking for.

As for the rooms, I found them clean, simple and lovely. Beds were comfortable, showers charmingly set in nature, and decor touched the spot. The staff is helpful and food wholesome. Highly recommend this place.
