“Snorkeling around Menjangan Island is fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014 via mobile

We did a fantastic trip with Kubuku Dive Center.
Every day 100 boats leave the harbor of Banyumandi to go snorkeling / diving around Menjangan Island. Probably most dive centers organize similar trips and probably you will see the same coral and fishes (and maybe even an turtle). The reefs around Menjangan Island are fantastic, and these reefs are in my personal top 5 "best snorkeling places in the world".

But what I experienced at Kubuku is that Kubuku is very well organized and took care of all the guest during the day.
We had two boats, all snorkeling equipment fitted (and the had a lot of equipment), good transport from Pemuteran to the harbor, good lunch & enough water and even clean towels for everybody. We did two snorkeling tours, with a lunch on the beach and a relaxing swimming / sunbathing breach in the middle. In our boat there were 6 children from different ages and they could all do their own snorkeling tour, from 15 minutes to the full hour. If you wanted to leave the water, one of the instructors would arrange a pick-up by the boats.

“Towels included!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 25, 2014

We were looking for a nice Hotel, as we walked by at this little dive center, located on the main road of pemuteran. We chatted a litte bit with the guys at the shop (just for fun), and after a while we thought, we should give them a chance and we would agree if we can dive at eel garden and if there are no drift dives.

So, the next day we met danu, our guide. It was a local dive-master, and very unusual (for us) he was not one of the young dive-masters. He was very calm, experienced, and good luck for us, he also liked the same places as we do.

The dives were exactly what we wanted. Relaxing, long, a lot to see, enough time watch all the details and no hassles. It was great!

Conclusion: Well organized, good equipment. You can choose between 4 different lunches and towels are included :-)

“Great dive spot, friendly dive crew”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2014

The guys at Kubuku Dive Centre are great! Very friendly and, as these were my first dives after doing my open water course, they made me feel comfortable and safe in the water. The crew are fairly relaxed and could be better organised in terms of timings (we waited around for quite a while at the harbour), but otherwise they are a great group!

Lunch, Nasi Campur, was also very tasty!

We went diving at Temple Wall and Anchor Wreck at Manjangen Island, beautiful areas to dive in. If you're in town, I'd recommend Kubuku Dive Centre.

We paid 800,000Rp for two dives.
