We stayed for 4 nights in November & the resort is beautiful. All the staff members are fantastic & take time to help you plan your stay with local activities if you need advice. The breakfast was one of the best we've ever had with every single item made from scratch from Balinese produce. I liked how the menu changed daily and you could order lots of small portions to sample a range of dishes.
It is about 20 minutes into the heart of Ubud town but they do have several shuttles during the day. In the evening we went out for dinner and a taxi cost us about 100,000IDR.
The views around the property are lovely and we had one of their standard rooms which looks out over the jungle. Next time I would probably upgrade to at least a deluxe room as they are twice the size and I think it would be worth it as we spent quite a lot of time relaxing here.
The infinity pool is amazing and it was even better in the afternoon rain! They also put on a lovely afternoon tea each day with fresh baked goods.
If we go back to Ubud I would definitely stay here again, thank you!

Arrived via a fantastic driver Ayoman (google Bali as you please) he cannot do enough for you!

Resort was stunning, rooms were excellent we had a deluxe room with outside bath was fantastic! Iv never bathed as much! The pool is amazing and the food fantastic, cannot fault at all! Do not be put off by the volcano if you are able to get the island, the whole place is amazing and they rely on tourism! Ignore he media hype!

This hotel is amazing!
Everything from its location, food, hotel rooms, service, staff, pool and activities was absolutely amazing! We stayed for 10 days and would love to go back.
The staff was super friendly and always there for you at any time during the day (or night when you needed anything).
This is a great hotel for couples who just wants to relax and enjoy nature and each other!
The hotel offers free rides into the city of Ubud 3 times a day, when you need a break from the poolside :)
Final words: magical and amazing!
Greetings from room 206!

Best food we had for dinner was at the Alila. The grounds were well maintained and amazing the entrance to the resort and view at check in were breathtaking. The people were great and the views were nice

Room Tip: Offer bug repellent as the roof allows for many insects to get in. We got bit a lot

From the moment your car turns off the main road in Ubud you feel a sense of ‘de-stressing’ as you travel the winding road through rice paddies arriving at the Alia Ubud. A very welcoming staff walk you through check-in and if off to your room where your luggage is delivered by a friendly, smiling staff member and in this case is was Suwitra. In fact my husband & I were delighted that Suwitra was also our guide on the walking trek the next morning and our tour guide/driver to local and area temples. He’s always smiling and laughing which makes you want to smile and laugh along with him!! We dined breakfast (daily) and had lunch and dinner at both the pool bar/restaurant and main restaurant and the food and staff did not disappoint. Special mention goes out to Yuni! Great personality and so accommodating, especially one evening when my husband had what was referred to as ‘Bali belly’ and she arranged room service of amazing chicken soup for him. All the other waitstaff were just fantastic too including Gede. Now as for the rooms. In general they are in need of an overhaul. Even though we booked the ‘deluxe’ room category the room was quite small, not a touch of art work and a a/c unit that never shut off (no thermostat), so you were either freezing or hot. I’ll assume the only was to avoid the small room is to go for a villa but unfortunately that room category wasen’t in our budget. I must also mention the confusion by the guest services staff regarding communication in the tours/spa services we wanted to book prior to our arrival. After two emails and finally an email to Alila corporate, I finally received a reply from Alila Ubud guest services saying they could help with pre-booking tours and spa services but then no other correspondence after that??
