When we first dropped in the warung classic, we just enjoyed the view over the mountains, neighborhood, the rice terrace and a kid playing with his kite. We just had a fresh juice, but were so impressed that we decided to come back for dinner. We had a great time there. The owner and the the crew are very friendly and happy to have a chat. We had a very good vegeterian nasi campur with potato and corn cakes. Also other vegeterian options with fried mushrooms are definitly things you should try there.
We were so flashed by the food that we decided to take a cooking class on the next Day.
The cooking class, held by Kadek was amazing. She knows a lot aboud food that is international available or not. So she can give alternatives to incredients that may not be available in your country. We learned how to make spring rolls from scratch, dough, filling, spice mixes even how to make the sambal souce. Also with the nasi campur. Everything from potato cake over peanut souce to curry paste. Much better than the coocking class on Gili T. And because we made really everything from the beginnig and Kadek giving hints we are also able to cook things like a yellow curry and fried banana and so on. She really gives great background knowladge. We really enjoyed our hours there:)
Hope to come back some time!
