Quaint little area, lots of historical sites, great little antique shops. Old small town feel. The old houses were fabulous to look at...

I love Elizabeth Henry boutique! Such a fun & unique place to shop! So many other great shops & lots of good food! The fried pickles at Courthouse Exchange are so good & Cafe Verona has AMAZING sangria!

So many options on the square ! Just park and walk around.
Check out the Truman Home ticket center where you can watch a free video on Harry Truman.
Next take the covered wagon tour which is guided by a Master Story Teller.
I also recommend visiting the old jail (Frank James was held there for a bit)
By now, you will probably be hungry and or thirsty. This is a good thing!
Whether you are craving a hotdog , German fair, pizza, or good ol' home cooking, You can find it on the square.
So many shops and things to see...
Wether or not you are into bowling the Diamond Bowl is definately worth checking out. It has been completely renovated and is beautiful. They have good food and a full bar.

A small town square that is going through the same problems as all small towns.......but the cafe's and other fine dinning places to enjoy. Then a short walk to the Truman Home.

Boutique bowling alley with couches, nice full bar, few lanes. Small town style (but updated) movie theatre. Shopping from antiques to boutiques. Enjoy a phosphate soda, chocolate, Scandinavia delicacies and more. Plan for two days. BTW Saturday city market.
